Ždiár – Ždiarská Franková Loop: 12 km
This relaxed circular route runs along paved and compacted roads between the villages of Ždiár and Ždiarská Franková. Minimal elevation gain, beautiful views of the Belianske Tatry, and suitability for children make it the ideal first cycling outing in the region. The full route can be completed in around 1 to 1.5 hours.

Tatra Cycling Trail – Ždiár Section: 8 km
A short and comfortable stretch of the Tatra cycling path running beneath the Belianske Tatry. Perfect for families with young children and for anyone who simply wants to get some fresh air and enjoy nature without significant physical effort. The route is well signposted and manageable on a standard bicycle.

Moderate Routes – For Active Cyclists and E-bike Enthusiasts
Ždiár – Kežmarok – Ždiár Loop: 55 km
One of the most popular full-day cycling routes in the region. The route runs from Ždiár to the historic town of Kežmarok and back, passing through charming sub-Tatra villages and meadows along the way. In Kežmarok, we recommend stopping at the castle and the wooden Evangelical church. On an e-bike it’s an excellent choice; on a regular bike, it requires good fitness due to several climbs.
Ždiár – Tatranská Lomnica and Back: 38 km
This route heads west from Ždiár along the Belianske Tatry all the way to Tatranská Lomnica. Along the way it passes through the Tatra basin and offers stunning views of Lomnický štít. In Tatranská Lomnica you can stop for lunch and return via the same route or through Tatranské Matliare. On an e-bike, it makes for a perfect full day out.

Challenging Routes – For Experienced MTB Riders
MTB Trail Ždiár – Kopské Sedlo: 22 km
For experienced MTB cyclists, this route is a challenge well worth taking on. The climb to Kopské sedlo (1,749 m above sea level) through Monkova dolina is one of the most technically demanding cycling routes in the Belianske Tatry. The reward is a breathtaking view of the High Tatras and a genuine sense of adventure. The route is suitable only for experienced riders on well-suspended bikes.

E-bike Rentals in and Around Ždiár
You don’t need to bring your own e-bike on holiday. Around Ždiár you’ll find several bike rental shops offering modern e-bikes, MTB bikes, as well as children’s bikes and helmets. We recommend booking in advance, especially during the peak summer season in July and August when demand is highest.
Average e-bike rental prices range from €25 to €45 per day depending on the type of bike and the rental shop. Most shops also offer half-day rentals or discounted rates for longer multi-day hire.
